Centre, state government working on a war footing, relief, restoration work on in full swing.
Odisha is recovering after the onslaught of Cyclone Fani. A central team is in the state to review the damage caused to give appropriate central assistance. Efforts are on to ensure that people do not suffer as rebuilding takes place.
Help is being given with free rice and kerosene apart from money and making cheap vegetables available. Restoring power in some parts still remains a challenge.
Meanwhile, an eleven-member inter-ministerial central team, who is on a visit to Odisha to take stock of the situation in cyclone Fani-affected areas of the state, will hold a meeting with senior state government officials, including Chief Secretary AP Padhi.
